TAMA
The TAMA project (Advanced Multimodal Audiovisual Technologies) aims to develop audiovisual technologies from a global and multimodal perspective by bringing together various research fields such as computer graphics, image processing, computer vision, image processing, augmented reality, etc. This will result in the improvement of the state of the art of audiovisual technologies and the development of advanced interactive multimodal systems enabling a transparent and simple synergy between people and machines.

The team comprises the engineers José María Saldaña, Ana Belén Cambra, Miguel Montañés; Miguel Ángel Varona and Eduardo Estopiñán together with various members of the I3A, and is led by Carlos Orrite, director of the I3A’s Computer Vision group (CV Lab). The collaboration between the TAMA project and the Asalto Festival (held in Zaragoza from 8 to 21 September 2014) led to the development of an application which demonstrated the possibilities of this technology in urban environments (computer vision, recognition in the cloud, augmented reality, advanced audiovisual systems). This application offers a reinterpretation of various graffiti, adding augmented content or reconstructing walls deteriorated over the passage of time. Augmented reality applications have also been developed for tourism purposes in the cities of Huesca and Zaragoza.
